Additional information

• This is a day-trip package. The return Ocean Jet ticket must be used on the same day and cannot be changed to another date.
• This tour is a 'semi-independent' package. Round-trip tickets must be redeemed at the Ocean Jet Counter and boarded independently. There will be no accompanying tour guide or staff throughout the tour.
• The departure time of the Ocean Jet may be subject to change or delayed
• The return time of Ocean Jet to Naha may be vary due to weather or sea conditions. Participants with onward flights should allow plenty of time between the scheduled return and their flight departure. We cannot accept responsibility for missed flights.
• Upon arrival at Kume Island, local staff will greet you and transfer you to the rental car shop.
• The transfer service is limited to transporting only the driver per booking; any other companions must wait at the port.
• As Kume Island is a rustic and unspoiled island, Chinese-language service is not available. On-site communication for car rental will be conducted in Japanese and using a translation device. If you are concerned about potential communication barriers, please refrain from booking for the tour.
• When picking up the car, please present the original driver's license for everyone who may drive the vehicle, passports, and one of the following documents. (*If you hold a Japanese driver's license, the following documents are not required.) Please be sure to bring valid rental documents on the day. If you forget them, you will not be able to proceed with the rental process, and no refunds will be given.
• Although the vehicle can accommodate up to five passengers, it is recommended to limit the number to four to avoid overcrowding if safety seats have to been used.
• According to laws, aged under 6 year old must use a child safety seat when traveling in a vehicle. We reserve the right to refuse car rental services to passengers who do not comply with this requirement.
• If the car is returned without a full tank of gas, you will be charged based on the distance traveled according to the rental company's conversion rate table. Please note that the fees charged by the rental company will be higher than the actual cost of refueling on your own.

• If you extend the use of the vehicle without prior notice, a specified penalty fee will be charged. Extending the rental period without authorization violates the rental agreement, and all resulting losses will be borne entirely by the participants.

Booking limitations

• Each booking represents a reservation for one vehicle.
• If your total group size exceeds 4 participants (include aged 0~3), please make a new separate booking. We cannot accommodate groups larger than 4 in a single rental car.
• When picking up the car, please present the original driver's license for everyone who may drive the vehicle, passports, and International Driving Permit/Official Japanese translation of the driver's license. (*If you hold a Japanese driving license, the following documents are not required.) Please be sure to bring valid rental document on the day. If you forget them, you will not be able to proceed with the rental process, and no refunds will be given.
• Documents issued by a signatory state to the Geneva Convention in accordance with the terms of said Convention.
• An International Driving Permit (IDP) is valid for one year from the date of issuance. Please ensure that your permit remains valid throughout the entire duration of your car rental period.
• You may rent a vehicle by presenting a translation of your driver’s license issued by a Japanese embassy, ​​a Japanese consulate, or the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF). The validity period of this translation must match the validity period of your original driver’s license.
• One year after your entry into Japan, such translations are considered invalid, even if they are still within their stated validity period.
• If any information on your International Driving Permit, original driver’s license, or translation document has been altered, all documents must show consistent information in order to be valid for use.
• Travelers holding a driver’s license issued in Taiwan may use a translation provided by a Motor Vehicles Office (in Taiwan), the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan, or the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).
• Please be sure to bring all required, valid documents with you on the day of your rental. If you fail to bring them, you will be unable to complete the rental process, and no refunds will be provided.
