Additional information

  • Drinking an appropriate amount of butter tea, dairy products, and beef and mutton can enhance the ability to adapt to the plateau climate. To prevent dryness, especially using sun protection lip balm, sunscreen, etc., can effectively prevent the loss of moisture and increase the body's resistance.
  • When first arriving at high altitudes, rest more and avoid overeating so as not to increase the burden on your digestive organs. Drink plenty of water, eat more fruit, and refrain from smoking and alcohol. Do not run or engage in strenuous exercise. You may appropriately prepare some oxygen canisters.
  • When traveling in plateau regions, it is advisable to wear loose, warm clothing. Due to the intense sunlight, it is best to wear sunglasses, dark glasses, and use sunscreen to prevent ultraviolet rays from burning the skin.
  • Bring some snacks (such as chocolate) when entering the plateau. Prevent colds caused by catching a chill. The temperature difference on the plateau is particularly large, and it is very easy to catch a cold and fall ill. It is better to be a bit too warm than a bit too cold; wear more layers.
  • If altitude sickness occurs, there is no need to panic; targeted treatment should be given according to the severity of the reaction. If the reaction is mild, you can adopt a method of resting quietly, drinking plenty of water, and exercising less, which usually disappears or weakens after a period of time. Commonly used medications for preventing altitude sickness: Rhodiola rosea, creatinine tablets, glucose, etc., start taking them two days before entering the mountains, and continue to take them during the journey, which can effectively prevent altitude sickness.
  • During outdoor activities, safety factors should be fully considered; do not ignore safety just because the scenery is beautiful, and it is best not to go out alone at night near your accommodation. Since most of the entire route is located at a high plateau, driving times are relatively long. Arrival times may be delayed due to objective reasons such as traffic jams or road maintenance. The weather on the plateau changes frequently and is beyond our complete control. In the event of extreme weather, our professional team leaders and guides will also assess the safety factor and make route adjustments.
  • There is no cell service after entering the mountains. If you have any important matters to handle, please make emergency plans in advance and notify your family and friends. Please bring your own trail food. Water is scarce at the camp, but we can ensure drinking water for everyone (please do not waste it). Please do not use hot water for washing your face, washing your feet, or brushing your teeth (you can prepare mouthwash and wet wipes). The plateau weather is unpredictable, and personal equipment must be warm (prepare according to the above list).
  • Most of the areas involved in this trip have limited supplies, so please make sure to prepare all your equipment before departure. The drive is quite long, so those prone to motion sickness should prepare motion sickness medication in advance. On the day of the trip, there will be significant changes in altitude and a large temperature difference, so please keep the necessary clothing and other items close at hand.
